Saturday’s qualifying session now streamed live at all events

Due to the big interest in the coverage of all FIA Formula 3 European Championship races the second qualifying session will now also be streamed live on the series’ online platforms with immediate effect.

One of the goals of the 2017 season is to provide the best and most extensive FIA Formula 3 European Championship coverage on TV and online platforms to date.

During the race meetings this is achieved by using state of the art TV production technology that is not only supplied to TV stations but also to the online channels at optimum quality. And the online channels are particularly focused on these days. After all, they are available to the motor sport fans all over the world and offer them the opportunity to access the FIA Formula 3 European Championship coverage – at libitum – live or re-live.

To make accessing the FIA Formula 3 European Championship coverage as easy as possible for the fans, the number of channels providing the live stream was increased this year. In 2017 the live stream of all races is not only available on the official FIA F3 website but also the Facebook account and the YouTube channel of the series. While an average of 5,729 users per weekend followed the FIA Formula 3 European Championship race action via the live stream in 2016, this figure increased to an average of 68.460 live-stream viewers per event during the first four race meetings of the season already.

The enhanced interest of the fans now resulted in an extension of the service offered to them: in addition to the three races, the second qualifying session will now also be covered via the live stream. In the 20-minute sessions on Saturday afternoons the drivers battle it out for the positions on the grids for the second and third races of the event. From the Norisring weekend, this session will be broadcast live at every upcoming race weekend. Only at Spa-Franchorchamps where the qualifying session will be held as early as on Thursday it won’t be available due to the different timetable.

Just like the races, the qualifying sessions will be covered in the same high quality and with English commentary. And as usual, live timing also will be available for every session of the race weekend.
